Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers in 2021, Yew Yee worked as an executive in the retail funds team of Allen & Gledhill LLP, where his area of focus was mainly on both Singapore retail schemes and foreign & Singapore restricted schemes. The team heavily relied on him for lodgement with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for Singapore schemes & also notifications for the restricted schemes.
Before that, Yew Yee worked as a fee-earning paralegal in the investment funds team of JWS Asia Law Corporation (which was later merged into and now known as Simmons & Simmons JWS). He supported the team in similar aspects, providing assistance on all matters relating to the application, ongoing compliance and deregistration of Singapore retail schemes & restricted schemes.
Yew Yee started working with the collective investment schemes team in MAS in 2008, where he began accumulating his years of experience in the funds industry relating to the registering, ongoing compliance & de-registering of Singapore & foreign mutual funds with MAS.
