Rupen's expertise lies in financing transactions, including acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance, private jet and vessel finance, bond issuances, margin lending, premium insurance finance, restructurings, ship finance and general lending.
Rupen also advises on general corporate matters including re-domiciliations and mergers and acquisitions.
He is a member of our Finance and Corporate Group and his clients include commercial and private banks, financial institutions, international corporations and insurance companies. Rupen has many years of Bermudan law experience, and works closely with our Bermuda office to help clients based in Asia.

Experience and recent work
Before joining Walkers in 2016, Rupen was in the Corporate & Commercial department of another offshore firm in Hong Kong. Here he developed his expertise on cross-border multi-jurisdictional financings and general corporate matters.
Previously he worked at a leading offshore firm in Jersey where he was in the Finance Services Group, dealing with securitisations and general lending transactions.
