Prior to joining Walkers, Adrian was an associate with Clifford Chance in their Dispute Resolution Group, working out of Clifford Chance's Hong Kong, Singapore and Perth offices.
He has acted as lead associate in a broad range of disputes, with his practice focused on investment, commercial, and insolvency related arbitration and litigation. In this role, Adrian developed a particular specialism in investor-state dispute resolution (resolving disputes between large-scale foreign direct investors and sovereign states).
Adrian currently acts (
inter alia) as lead associate in the following matters:
- In the matter of New World Holdings (in Official Liquidation) – acting for the joint official liquidators concerning the first large scale liquidation of a crypto hedge fund in the Cayman Islands.
- A confidential arbitration involving a world leading sporting club – acting for the club in relation to a dispute with one of their largest sponsors.
- MYF Maximus Limited v DNB Bank ASA et al – providing independent expert advice on Cayman Islands law for a leading private equity firm in an ongoing trial in Norway in relation to a dispute arising out of the enforcement of a share pledge agreement governed by Cayman Islands law.
