Jonathan Turner

Jonathan's recent work includes: 

• Representing the claims manager of a $1 billion fund on claims arising from misconduct by the fund’s manager and the manager’s subsequent insolvency, culminating in a two-month multiparty trial before the Grand Court. 
• Acting for the Principal Liquidators of a multi-million dollar investment fund with exposure to the Madoff Ponzi scheme. 
• Acting for the Joint Official Liquidators of a Saudi Arabian conglomerate in a c. $70 million proof of debt appeal run as inter-partes proceedings against a major international bank. 
• Various insolvency related proceedings relating to international energy companies, including:
  
  - acting for the Joint Official Liquidators of a Middle Eastern focused energy company in bringing claims to recover the company's muti-million dollar assets that were transferred prior to the liquidation;

  - to seek an injunction to prevent the presentation of a winding-up petition in respect of an           Asian focused energy company;

- to appoint joint provisional liquidators over an African focused oil exploration company.

• Obtaining an anti-suit injunction on behalf of a Middle Eastern investment bank to prevent Cayman Islands law governed claims being litigated in Abu Dhabi, and subsequent enforcement of costs orders by way of garnishee applications.  

 Jonathan trained at a leading city firm in London, before qualifying as a litigator with a specialism in defamation, privacy, and breach of confidence at a firm with a top tier practice in those areas. Jonathan's clients in London included high profile individuals and blue-chip companies.
