Walkers Advises Ares Management on US$2.4 Billion Asia Special Situation Fund

Walkers acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Ares Management (“Ares”), a leading global alternative investment manager, on the formation and successful final closing of Ares SSG Capital Partners VI, L.P. (the "Fund”), securing commitments of US$2.4 billion in aggregate across the Fund and its' co-investment vehicles.

The Fund is Ares’ sixth closed-ended private credit fund targeting special situation and distressed investments in Asia.

The Walkers team was led by Hong Kong-based partner John Cartwright who was supported by Senior Associate Selina Chan. Kirkland & Ellis acted as lead counsel to Ares.
