Ed joins Walkers London office, the sole firm ranked Tier 1 for Cayman law and Tier 1 for BVI law across all ranked practice areas in both of Chambers and Legal 500 (2024 UK guides).
He joins fellow London based offshore investment funds partners Hughie Wong, Ian Williams, Matthew Bloomfield and Tatziana Paraguacuto-Maheo in Walkers investment funds practice group. The team has decades of experience in advising on all aspects of the fund life cycle, supported by specialist colleagues in the fields of regulatory law, fund financing, listings and funds-related disputes.
Ed has 15+ years' experience in private practice as an onshore and offshore funds lawyer in London and the Caribbean, specialising in the formation, operation and restructuring of investment funds.
He worked with Clifford Chance in London before moving to offshore work, spending nine years with Walkers in the Cayman Islands.
Jack Boldarin, the managing partner of Walkers London office, said: "We are delighted to welcome Ed to our team here in London as we continue to add to our market-leading offshore practice. Ed's arrival strengthens the investment funds team led by Hughie and Tatziana."
Walkers London team, which numbers 225+ colleagues, moved to new offices in The Scalpel earlier this year to accommodate growth across legal practice groups. The London team provides time zone sensitive BVI, Cayman and Bermuda law support to clients in the EMEA region. Walkers does not practice English law and instead works alongside leading international law firms to provide integrated offshore and onshore support.
