Jack Boldarin

Jack is the Managing Partner of our London office and practises British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bermuda law.

Jack enjoys 25+ years' experience advising clients on matters linked to offshore investment hubs and originally practised from the firm's Cayman Islands and BVI offices. Jack leads a team of London based lawyers providing time-zone sensitive, dedicated Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands law support to clients based in EMEA.

Jack has the unique distinction of being the sole person in Europe to be ranked as a Tier 1 BVI lawyer and a Tier 1 Cayman Islands lawyer by Chambers and Partners. Jack is equally ranked as a Leading Individual by Legal 500. Legal 500 cites that Jack is widely acclaimed as one of the Cayman Island's top practitioners.

Experience and recent work

Before joining Walkers in 2001, Jack worked for Norton Rose Fulbright in London. Prior to this he was with a major French investment bank. He started practising law with a New Zealand law firm.

Jack's finance experience includes:

Acting as offshore counsel in connection with a US $50,000,000,000 limited recourse secured debt issuance programme.
Acting as offshore counsel to a leading UK banking group in connection with an equity capital raising (in an offshore vehicle) of US $1,250,000,000 and debt facilities of GBP £9,000,000,000.
Advising the financing parties on a secured US $6.1 billion facilities agreement in relation to a global mining concern.
Acting for a sovereign wealth fund on the acquisition financing of a portfolio of 43 landmark hotels managed by a leading international hotel brand held via a group structure of 45 offshore companies.
Acting on the GBP £1.5 billion debt restructuring of General Healthcare Group, the UK's largest private hospital group, involving senior and junior debt held by banking and private equity house interests.
Acting for the financing parties on a US $2 billion finance facility and US $900,000,000 capital market bond issuance in connection with a private equity acquisition of a minority stake in a global advisory firm.
