Paul advises institutional asset managers, and both established and start-up investment managers, on all aspects of investment funds matters.

This includes pre-formation strategy, launches, governance, reorganisations, ongoing operations, exit and termination. As part of our Global Investment Funds Group, he also regularly works with managers and service providers in fintech.

Paul has over 15 years’ experience in both hedge funds, private equity funds and approved managers.

Experience and recent work

Paul previously worked in the Funds Department at A&L Goodbody in Dublin, where he advised on the Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) regulatory framework, alternative investment funds (AIFs) and closed-ended structures. During this time he was seconded to HSBC in London where he advised the HSBC Global Liquidity money market fund and other in-house funds.

He re-joined our British Virgin Islands office in 2021, having first joined in 2014. He has previously worked in our Cayman Islands and Hong Kong offices, and in the Funds Department of another law firm in the British Virgin Islands
