Martin specialises in hedge fund formation and private equity fund formation.
A member of our Global Investment Funds Group and Fintech Group, he has extensive experience of advising on hedge funds, including those targeting cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
Martin also regularly advises trading platforms in the fintech industry on establishing proprietary trading vehicles focused on digital assets. He also acts on behalf of several major private equity houses and their external counsel, as well as start-up fund managers and institutional asset managers based in the United States, Europe and Latin America.

Experience and recent work
Martin completed his professional training at Walkers, and started practising as an attorney at law in the Cayman Islands in 2010. He has worked in various jurisdictions for our firm including Singapore and London.

At Walkers, Martin is a member of the Trainee Committee and is responsible for selecting, mentoring and supervising legal scholarship recipients. He also serves on Walkers' Charity Committee.
Martin is also a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands and member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association. In addition, he is a member of the Refugee Protection Appeals Tribunal.
