Walkers, the leading international legal and professional services firm, was thrilled to have Thrive Global and Washington Post founder Arianna Huffington as the keynote speaker for their International Women’s Day (IWD) event at the Kimpton Hotel this week.
The firm hosted an empowering event in honour of IWD 2025 featuring thought leaders and influential women sharing their personal insights on making bold career moves, work-life integration and other topics that impact us every day.
The event, which was attended by 135 employees, partners and community members, aimed to celebrate the achievements of women and build awareness for this year IWD theme, "Accelerate Action".
Arianna joined the event virtually to take part in a keynote discussion with Ingrid Pierce, Walkers Global Managing Partner. The event also featured a panel discussion between Walkers employees, who provided valuable perspectives on their personal experiences with dealing with gender equality in the workforce.
"We are delighted to have hosted this event to celebrate International Women's Day with the business community," said Ingrid. "We are committed to supporting our colleagues and clients in driving positive change for women within our business and beyond."
Prominent guests included the Governor of the Cayman Islands and other government officials, local businesspeople and Walkers clients, with attendees treated to afternoon tea as part of the celebration.
