Walkers, the international financial services firm, is boosting its legal and professional services teams with 28 senior promotions effective from 1 July.

The 10 new partners, 11 senior counsel and seven corporate services professionals span the firm's 10 offices across the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The senior promotions include eight in the Insolvency and Dispute Resolution practice, seven in corporate and fiduciary services and three in the Regulatory team, reflecting areas of increasing client demand. Core practice areas such as Investment Funds and Finance and Corporate are also bolstered with new appointments.

In total, Walkers is promoting more than 100 people of all grades across its legal and professional services practices and business services teams. Additionally, the firm plans to announce further senior promotions this year following work permit and other regulatory approvals.

These appointments follow the external hires of four partners, eight senior counsel and four senior corporate services professionals during the past 12 months, taking the overall number of partners to 151 and the total global workforce to more than 1,200.

Walkers' investment for the future extends beyond people and the client services it offers. The firm refreshed its brand this year and moved to new, enhanced premises in London and Guernsey as part of a wide-ranging transformation programme.
