Walkers is pleased to welcome Philip Aubry as a senior counsel in its Cayman Islands Private Capital & Trusts Group.
Philip advises on a broad range of structures involving private capital, including the structuring and establishment of family offices/private offices as well as the establishment of new businesses within the Cayman Islands. Philip also advises on the re-domiciliation of existing businesses to the Cayman Islands.
Philip has extensive corporate experience and regularly advises on a broad range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt listings, exits, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, corporate governance issues and general corporate matters. He advises a broad range of clients from small and emerging businesses to large multinational institutions.
Prior to joining Walkers, Philip was a Partner at Dickinson Wright LLP in their Toronto office. Philip's Canadian practice focused on corporate and commercial law, which included advising domestic and foreign public and private companies on a wide range of corporate matters, including cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, partnerships, joint ventures, capital markets, which included public and private offerings of debt, equity, convertible and hybrid securities, stock exchange listings, corporate governance issues, periodic reporting obligations under securities law and general corporate matters. Philip's industry sector experience includes high tech, telecommunications, retail, clean tech, environmental, manufacturing, real estate, renewable energy projects, cannabis, business services and professional services firms.
