Eimear advises EU and non-EU managers on establishing and operating management companies.
She is part of our Asset Management and Investment Funds Practice Group.
Elmear has particular expertise in the regulatory requirements of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), with a focus on ESG investments.
Eimear has advised on UCITS mergers into and out of Ireland, redomiciliation into Ireland from the Cayman Islands, and UCITS index submissions to the Central Bank. She has also worked on several recent management company applications under the Central Bank’s fund management company guidance.
Eimear is also part of the Irish Funds Industry AIFMD working group, and was a guest speaker at the fourth annual European Law Student’s Association Ireland Law School.

Experience and recent work
Before joining Walkers, Eimear trained and qualified as a solicitor in the Asset Management and Investment Funds Group of another leading Irish corporate law firm.
