Charlotte Chestnutt joined Walkers in 2018 where she is a Senior Associate in the firm's Finance and Capital Markets Group.
Her principal practice areas are capital markets, securitisations, distressed investment, finance and corporate restructuring.
In particular, she advises on Irish and EU legal and regulatory aspects of the establishment, financing, operation and management of Irish special purpose vehicles and other investment vehicles which acquire a broad range of asset classes (including loans, mortgages, receivables and distressed assets).
Some of Charlotte's recent transactions include:
- Acting as issuer counsel in relation to European Collateralised Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions;
- Acting as Irish counsel to a major UK bank on multiple synthetic securitisation of portfolios of social housing loans, corporate loans, SME loans and agricultural mortgages; and
- Acting as lead counsel to a leading US investment manager in connection with the establishment of an Irish law governed US$400,000,000 note issuance platform.
