We are pleased to have welcomed 10 interns this summer as part of our Cayman Legal Internship Programme.
Valentina Bustos, Christopher Fletcher, Danielle Do Vale, Eva Muspratt, Hannah Welcome, James Priaulx, Mileybi Giron, Sophie Stewart, Valeria Granados and Will Jackson all recently joined the Cayman office for its annual three-week legal internship.
The Cayman Legal Internship Programme offers legal interns the opportunity to gain invaluable experience through bridging theory and practice, with interns working alongside two supervisors in assigned practice groups at the firm. Additionally, the Cayman office teamed up with our BVI and Bermuda offices and legal interns from across the offices met weekly for collaboration and training.
"Walkers aims to promote the development of young legal professionals here on island by giving them the opportunity to learn from experienced lawyers in the field," said Layla Eden, Learning and Development Manager. "The programme thrives on the legal interns participating in day-to-day tasks that may arise for lawyers such as drafting documents, legal research and client meetings."
Insolvency and Dispute Resolution partner, and Trainee Committee chair Peter Kendall, stated: "We are honoured to continue to nurture these aspiring legal professionals as we hopefully equip them with the vital tools needed to succeed in the demanding and growing legal industry."
