Partner Nigel Sanders elected as Law Society of Jersey president

The Law Society of Jersey is the peak governing body for advocates and solicitors of the Royal Court of Jersey, having first been established in 1899 to represent the interests of the legal profession.  

Nigel is a partner in Walkers’ Insolvency & Dispute Resolution team, having practised in Jersey since 2006. He specialises in litigation, restructuring and insolvency and regularly appears before the Jersey Court. 

On his new role, Nigel commented: 

“It’s a great honour to have been elected to this role and I am keen to ensure that the Law Society of Jersey is well placed to continue to fulfil all of its objectives, in a way that best works for its members, as well as for members of the Jersey community and users of Jersey legal services.”
