Walkers' Banking & Finance team in Guernsey have advised Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (Falko), the world’s largest asset manager and aircraft lessor focused solely on the regional aircraft leasing segment, on the delivery of three aircraft to South African carrier, Airlink.
The team led by group partner Kim Paiva, advised on Guernsey law matters in relation to the discharge of registered security and the deregistration of the financed aircraft from Guernsey's aircraft register (2-REG).
The Embraer E190 aircraft bearing MSNs 19000651, 19000666 and 19000679 were delivered on behalf of Falko’s managed fund, Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II (“Fund II”) as part of a three aircraft deal with the airline.
Kim said: "We are delighted to have assisted our client Falko with this matter and are pleased to see how the Guernsey aircraft register (2-REG) continues to play a vital role as an interim register for commercial aircraft transitioning between leases."
