Walkers Scoops Four Nominations as the IFLR Middle East Awards 2023 Shortlist is Revealed

IFLR have revealed the shortlist for the Middle East Awards 2023, celebrating the most innovative work from across the region, and those behind it.

The awards focus exclusively on legal innovation in transactions that reached financial close during the 2022 calendar year. The full methodology and criteria can be found here.

The capital markets practice, led by Ciaran Bohnacker and Szymon Durlo have been shortlisted for three "Deals of the Year":

  • Air Lease Corporation sukuk
  • Federal UAE dirham treasury sukuk
  • KSA tender offer and issuance

The fourth nomination related to a Project Finance deal undertaken by Ciaran Bohnacker and Johanna Hendry - Amunet Wind Farm.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, Dubai, Tuesday 17 October.
