Charlotte Yates is a Senior Associate in Walkers' Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team in Jersey.
Her practice predominantly involves advising in relation to contentious and non-contentious trust applications with an international element, advising both trustees and beneficiaries. She also has experience advising on cross-border commercial litigation and contentious insolvency matters.
Experience and recent work
Charlotte has experience in all types of trust disputes, including contentious and non-contentious blessing applications, mistake applications, trustee appointment and removals, capacity representations, Beddoe hearings and breach of trust disputes.
She is recognised as a 'Rising Star' by Legal 500 and is in the process of completing her Jersey law exams in order to qualify as an advocate
Prior to joining Walkers in 2020, Charlotte completed her training contract at Stephenson Harwood LLP, where she practised for two years afterwards, before relocating to Jersey.
