Julia is a partner* of Walkers (CI) LP and as part of our Banking & Finance practice group, specialises in fund finance, leveraged acquisitions, structured finance, direct lending and restructurings.

She represents corporations, private equity sponsors, arrangers, debt funds and financial institutions.

Julia advises on all aspects of fund financing matters, including subscription line facilities, net asset value and hybrid facilities, GP and manager lines of credit and open-ended fund facilities, and is part of Walkers’ Global Fund Finance team.

In addition, Julia specialises in structured finance and securitisation matters, working with instructing counsel in Europe, Asia and the US, and has advised on multiple note programmes and CLO transactions. She also has extensive experience working with both borrowers and lenders on global cross-border lending transactions made up of multiple forms of debt financing, as well as complex international restructurings.

Julia moved offshore in 2018 and joined Walkers in 2020. She originally trained with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, qualifying in 2006 and subsequently spending eleven years in their London and New York offices.

Advising Ares Management Corporation as administrative agent and lead arranger in relation to a $3.3 billion private credit loan to UK insurance broker The Ardonagh Group.
Advising on the financing of Brookfield Infrastructure's £4 billion take private acquisition of Homeserve plc.
Advising OakNorth Bank Plc in relation to a £45m revolving credit facility provided to Paloma Capital.
Advising a leading US bank in respect of a bespoke capital call security arrangement relating to a $2.1 billion credit agreement.
Advising Deutsche Hypo – NORD/LB Real Estate Finance on the £53.2 million debt financing of the office building ‘Landmark’ and the £33 million build-to-rent property ‘VOX’ for Barings LLC located in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Advising a major financial and investment institution in respect of the establishment of a structured credit linked note programme.
