Sarah specialises in all aspects of asset finance, focusing in particular on aviation and marine assets.
Sarah has experience in aircraft and ship financing transactions for a range of clients across the industry. This includes major operating lessors, aircraft and ship owners, financiers, airlines and operators. She works closely with leading onshore law firms advising on various transactions including:
- securitisations and asset-backed securities
- establishing joint-venture vehicles
- pre-delivery payment and delivery financing
- leasing for both private and commercial aircraft, commercial vessel and yacht acquisitions and financings
- export credit and insurance supported financing
- sale and leaseback transactions
- loyalty programme financings
- enhanced equipment trust certificates
- distressed matters including repossessions, restructurings and transitional aircraft registrations.

Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers, Sarah was counsel in the Asset Finance Group of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman’s London office. She trained at a city law firm in London and qualified as a general finance lawyer. She worked on a range of transactions including asset finance, mergers-and-acquisition financing and restructuring, and project finance. She has also worked in the Middle East and spent time in a major international bank’s Structured Finance legal team during a secondment in London.
