Monique is part of our Private Capital & Trusts Group in the Cayman Islands.
Monique advises high net-worth individuals and families, trust companies, family offices and charitable organisations on all aspects of private trusts, foundation companies, and other wealth and estate planning structures.
She also works on a range of Cayman Islands commercial trust matters. That includes creating and administering investment funds structured as unit trusts, securitisation trusts, liquidating trusts, employee benefit trusts and pension trusts.

Experience and recent work
Before joining Walkers in 2008, Monique worked in the Trusts division of Citigroup Private Bank in Zurich, structuring and administering Cayman Islands trusts for the bank’s private clients. She also worked in the global tax practice of a New Zealand firm.

Monique is a Full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in the Cayman Islands. She has been a member of the STEP Cayman council since December 2018 and currently acts as secretary to the council.
Monique is also a member of 100 Women Who Care in Cayman, 100 Women in Finance and the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association.
