Izabella Arnold joined Walkers' Bermuda office in 2021 where she is an associate in the Insolvency & Dispute Resolution Group.
She advises and represents clients ranging from small claims to complex cross-border commercial disputes, including insolvency and restructuring proceedings and insurance/reinsurance disputes. She regularly advises and appears in the Bermuda courts for banks and financial institutions in disputes related to debt and asset recovery. Izabella has appeared in arbitrations and also assists clients with general litigation matters including advising on employment law, landlord and tenant disputes, and Bermuda trust disputes.

Izabella successfully completed her Pupillage with Walkers in 2021.
Recent Insurance Matters
Credit Suisse Life (Bermuda) Limited v Bidzina Ivanishvili & Ors [2023] CA (Bda) 13 Civ – Bermuda appeal against $607 million judgment of the Supreme Court. A further appeal by Credit Suisse Life (Bermuda) Limited is pending to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.
Aeolus Re Ltd v CS ILS SICAV-SIF [2022] SC (Bda) 30 Com– regarding whether named report publisher in a $20 million industry loss warranty ISDA swap had altered its reporting criteria or frequency of industry loss reports after widespread reporting of alleged loss creep from Typhoon Jebi in 2018.
